Introduction

The Maternity Service is a division of The Nanny Service which was established in 1975 and is recognised as one of London's leading prestige maternity and nanny agencies. We have an excellent reputation for being honest, approachable and professional.

Our emphasis has always been on maintaining the high standards established over the years in selecting responsible, competent and friendly maternity nurses and consultants.  A great deal of time is invested in matching suitable candidates to clients and the aim is to send two or three ideal matches rather than half a dozen candidates.

Our specialist team is happy to advise and match your requirements to the service most suitable for your family.  We provide a range of maternity services which include live-in maternity nurses, daily maternity nurses, night nannies, maternity nannies (trainees) and maternity consultants.  They can be booked for any length of time, we recommend 4-6 weeks. As a general rule positions are booked approx. 5 -6 months in advance; however we are used to handling emergency bookings.

The role of a maternity nurse is to help new mothers and to support families in all aspects of caring for their newborn, from breast feeding to establishing a good routine and generally helping mum get back on her feet. The maternity nurse is there to provide the mother with a sense of security during those physically and mentally exhausting first few weeks after childbirth.  Our maternity nurses are friendly and will give reassurance and non-judgmental support. For those mothers who don't have family support close at hand or who have had twins/triplets or a caesarean it can be an invaluable help. A comforting presence and a willing pair of hands can make an enormous difference.

‘In just the right ways, at just the right time, you do just the right thing. I appreciate all your help. Thank you so much. You are the best!’  J. Petrova (nanny)
